These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Selfhosted email service, including our web client and desktop and mobile apps (the "Service"), operated by Applied Science ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Your account

You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account and for keeping your authentication credentials secure. You must provide accurate information and be at least 13 years old to use the Service. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• send spam, bulk unsolicited mail, or phishing;
• distribute malware or attempt to breach the security of any system;
• violate any applicable law or the rights of others;
• harass, abuse, or harm another person.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

3. Your content

You retain all rights to the content you store and send through the Service. You grant us only the limited permission needed to operate the Service on your behalf — to store, transmit, and display your content to you. We do not claim ownership of your mail.

5. Service availability

We work to keep the Service available and reliable, but it is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

6. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time — see how to delete your account. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms or to comply with the law.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the Service.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the date above and, for material changes, notify you through the Service. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
